COMMUNITY CLEAN UP DAY
As the seasons change and winter finally comes to an end what’s revealed along our roadsides is far too much trash. It’s time to clean it all up! The Kodiak Chamber of Commerce invites you to come lend a hand on Saturday May4th Community Clean Up Day.
Working together we can beautify the Kodiak Road system, our trails, lawns, parks and neighborhoods, and you’ll have the chance to win $2,500 in prizes donated by Matson!
Clean-up begins at 9:00AM in the high school parking lot where trash bags are passed out and areas will be assigned.
Starting at noon to 1 pm dedicated island cleaners can enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks & water. Remember to bring your trash back to the high school parking lot where you can also drop off your Household Hazard Waste and recyclables.
Support for The Chamber’s Annual Community Clean Up Day comes from the Kodiak Lions Club, Threshold Services, Alaska Waste, the City and the Borough.
